1. Google launched the AI-based tool to access COVID-19 research

Google has recently launched a COVID-19 Research Explorer, a semantic search interface, to ease the burden of scientists and researchers by providing them access to the information related to COVID-19. The tool explores artificial intelligence to provide results and scan through over 50,000 journal articles and preprints in the COVID-19 Open Research Dataset. It also flashes possible answers to users' questions related to the subject.

2. OpenAI model generates genre-specific music with lyrics

OpenAI, a San Francisco-based AI startup unveiled a new generative model known as Jukebox which generates genre-specific music along with lyrics. The model is reportedly reproducing songs by artists like Kanye West, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Elvis Presley, and Alan Jackson. OpenAI is supposedly using convolutional neural networks to encode and compress raw audio and deploying raw audio to train the model.

3. We saw 2 years of digital transformation in 2 months: Microsoft CEO Nadella

According to Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella, they have seen two years' worth of digital transformation in just two months of its third-quarter (January-March) due to coronavirus pandemic. He highlighted how remote teamwork, sales, learning, customer service, and cloud infrastructure have evolved during the time. He also proclaimed that Microsoft 365, Windows 10, GitHub, and LinkedIn have all witnessed a surge in the number of users.
